What moves the price
- The film
- This is the biggest lever. Ceramic costs the most and rejects the most heat. Dyed costs the least.
- The vehicle
- A coupe has fewer and smaller windows than a three-row SUV. Curved rear glass takes more skill and time.
- How many windows
- Sides and rear are the usual job. A windshield strip or full windshield film adds to the price.
- Old tint removal
- Pulling old film and cleaning off the adhesive takes time and is usually priced as an add-on.
- The install
- Clean cuts, no dust under the film and tight edges take patience. Low quotes often cut here, and it shows as bubbles and lifting edges.
A good quote has
- The film type and the line it comes from
- Exactly which windows are included
- Legal shades for your vehicle, gone over before anything goes on
- Whether old tint removal is included
- The warranty, and what it covers
- A pickup time, and how long to wait before rolling the windows down
